Kids, Lets PRAY!

As our government is changing hands this is a perfect time to teach our children to pray for our leaders. Below are some “prayer ideas” and verses – after you have prayed for your Community, change things up and pray for your city, state and country.

I challenge you to create a daily pattern of prayer in your home.

1. Pray for the children in your community to know Jesus.
Mark 10:14
When Jesus saw this, He was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to

me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

2. Pray for the people of your community to desire to learn to pray
And learn to worship.
Luke 11:1
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to

him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."

John 4:23-24
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the

Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."

3. Pray for protection of your community from the evil one.
John 17:15
My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from

the evil one.

Rev 12:11
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;

they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

4. Pray for the people in your community to love righteousness and
hate wickedness – Pray for Joy.
Psalms 45:7
You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your
God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with
the oil of joy.

5. Pray for an undivided heart in the community – and fear for the
name of the Lord.
Psalms 86:11
Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
